For some reason, Maryland is experiencing tropical weather – 70 degrees and humid. Even though I am not a fan of this weather, it inspired me to create a tropical theme card using none other than, Tropical Chic! The interesting part of this card is the size and the envelope that it will go in. These envelopes are a retired item, but I certainly have a lot of them, so I thought I may as well use them, right? The card is 3.5×12 and scored at 6”.
My Stamparatus allowed me to stamp the pink flowers with ink and then again with Versamark so that I could emboss using clear embossing powder. I love the layering of the ferns, etc., it really gives depth to the card front.
I took half of the sentiment and added it to the front and the rest was stamped on the inside with a little bit of ‘flair’. As all that know me, I had to add a little something something to the envelope and the result was an unusually shaped card with some pizzazz!
